The asymptotic geometry of 2-dimensional Artin groups

We show 2-dimensional Artin groups act geometrically on spaces where minimal disks are non-positively curved in a combinatorial sense. As an application, we study quasi-Euclidean tilings over these Artin groups and deduce some quasi-isometric rigidity results for them. No previous knowledge about Artin groups is required. This is joint work with D. Osajda.
