RG flows of SYK and holography

The SYK model is a quantum mechanical model of N Majorana fermions with random all-to-all interactions. In the large N limit and in the strong coupling regime, it has an emergent conformal symmetry that links the model to gravity in (near) AdS_2. In this talk, I will present new solvable relevant deformations of the model, that allow for novel infrared behaviour. I will discuss characteristic features of these models, such as correlation functions and thermodynamics. I will also discuss their chaotic properties and how to probe them.
