Generic simplicity of simple geometric shapes

We study whether simple geometric shapes such as Euclidean, spherical or hyperbolic triangles or polygons, ellipses etc... Combining methods from analytic perturbation theory and singular perturbation theory, we prove the generic simplicity of the Laplace spectrum in many cases.
