e-Assessment: A story from Southampton

The talk aims to reflect on our journey in using e-Assessment, highlighting benefits/drawbacks and some points learnt. We have started by using e-Assessment within more computational modules such as engineering modules (service teaching) and some year 1 modules.

One of the motivating ideas for e-Assessment was to improve student feedback. After some experimentation with different e-Assessment systems, STACK is now established as our (only) e-Assessment system. A wide range of modules across the years and programmes contain e-Assessment components for both formative and summative assessment utilizing different types of questions.
