Algebra Seminar
10th November 2026, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Fry Building, 2.04
In this talk we give a snapshot of developments in the local-global representation theory of finite groups in recent years. We will begin by describing some of the context and motivating concepts behind counting conjectures and open problems, and present some recent progress in the case of symmetric and alternating groups.
