Complexity and spacetime

Mathematical Physics Seminar

24th April 2020, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Online seminar, BlueJeans ID 824 425 027

I will review the recent proposals relating the complexity of a CFT state holographically to the volume of a spatial slice or the action of the Wheeler-de Witt patch. I will describe the evidence for these proposals in the context of black hole spacetimes, and discuss their application in other examples, notably the AdS soliton.
