On Darmon's program for the generalised Fermat equation of signature (r,r,p)

I will first recall the main steps in the modular method following the case of Fermat's last theorem. Then, I will explain a new approach to generalised Fermat equations of signature (r,r,p) based on modularity and ideas from Darmon's program.
