Infectious disease modelling
Statistics Seminar
29th September 2023, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Fry Building, G.07
As a new member of staff, I will present a quick overview of the different types of infectious disease modelling I’ve done over the past few years and the way they have influenced global health policy to provide some context for my research. Then I will present three specific problems I’m focusing on now: spatial renewal based infectious disease models, recreating transmission chains using Hawkes Processes and orphanhood estimation. I hope to leave lots of time for discussion and keen for input about new things I could try / future collaborations!
