One-sided localisation in rings and categories

Localisation is a standard and important tool in algebra. In the non-commutative context, one usually formally adjoins two-sided inverses. In this talk I will instead discuss one-sided localisation and its homotopy invariant version. This is joint work with Andrey Lazarev
