Stochastic Models for DNA Replication
Mathematical Physics Seminar
5th May 2023, 1:45 pm – 3:30 pm
Fry Building, 2.04
Actively firing replication origins on eukaryotic chromosomes can be described as a 1D point process where neighboring points appear to actively repel but still have some sort of global confinement. We explore the utility of using COE eigenvalues to simulate these replication origins and then develop our own 2D Exclusion model. This talk is joint work with Professor Nina Snaith.
