Folding graphs

Mathematics Postgraduate Seminar

21st February 2020, 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Fry Building, 2.04

Graphs (a.k.a. networks/quivers, depending on who you are) crop up all over the place, and often you can extract extra information by fiddling around with them in some way. In this talk, I'll describe a particularly nice process called folding for graphs. We'll see that you can learn a surprising amount about certain groups by drawing graphs and folding them.
