Explicit methods in automorphic forms – a brief introduction to Lynne Walling’s mathematics
Colloquia Seminar
11th July 2022, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Fry Building, LG.02
The mathematical career of Lynne Walling was centred around different areas of automorphic forms, with a particular focus on explicit methods for Hilbert and Siegel modular forms.
She made several important contributions to the field and in this colloquium talk, aimed at non-number theorists, I will present some of her most important results and try to provide the background and setting the stage for the audience to fully appreciate them.
