We will discuss the problem of the best approximation of the three-dimensional Lebesgue measure on a domain of volume 1 by a discrete probability measure supported on a Bravais lattice. This is work in collaboration with David Bourne (Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh) and Steven Roper (University of Glasgow).
