We consider a type of intermittent behaviour for random dynamical systems, where on the one hand the dynamics is attracted to some superattracting fixed point, but on the other hand orbits close to this fixed point can be mapped to the neighbourhood of some repelling fixed point. We discuss the existence and the properties of absolutely continuous invariant measures for random systems on the interval admitting this type of critical intermittency.
